{"id":50282,"date":"2021-06-21T12:36:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-21T19:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/life\/kent-meridian-high-drama-program-produces-film-about-pandemic\/"},"modified":"2021-06-21T12:36:00","modified_gmt":"2021-06-21T19:36:00","slug":"kent-meridian-high-drama-program-produces-film-about-pandemic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/life\/kent-meridian-high-drama-program-produces-film-about-pandemic\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent-Meridian High drama program produces film about pandemic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Kent-Meridian High School drama program produced a film rather than doing a live performance this spring due to COVID-19 restrictions.<\/p>\n<p>The film &ldquo;Unstable Connection&rdquo; is a musical about students learning during the pandemic, according to Jay Thornton, the Kent-Meridian drama teacher who wrote and directed the movie.<\/p>\n<p>It tells the humorous and heartwarming story about a handful of high school students as they navigate the ups and downs of remote learning and the social isolation that living in your bedroom breeds.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=o1AvlKEE6Ak\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"link\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">movie is available now on YouTube <\/a>through the summer. It features original music by singer-songwriter Rheanna Atendido. Hollywood editor Michael Hofacre cut the film which was shot on location in Kent and Seattle.
