{"id":5001,"date":"2016-08-19T11:55:21","date_gmt":"2016-08-19T18:55:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/catch-sounder-trains-in-kent-on-sunday-for-mariners-sounders\/"},"modified":"2016-08-19T11:55:21","modified_gmt":"2016-08-19T18:55:21","slug":"catch-sounder-trains-in-kent-on-sunday-for-mariners-sounders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/catch-sounder-trains-in-kent-on-sunday-for-mariners-sounders\/","title":{"rendered":"Catch Sounder trains in Kent on Sunday for Mariners, Sounders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>Mariners and Sounders FC fans can skip summer congestion Sunday, Aug. 21, by taking Sounder trains to the Mariners 1:10 p.m. game against the Milwaukee Brewers and the Sounders match against the Portland Timbers at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Riders attending the Mariners game can take the train departing from Kent at 11:32 a.m. The return train departs King Street Station 35 minutes after the game ends.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Fans attending the Sounders FC match can take the train departing from Kent at 4:31 p.m. The return train departs King Street Station 35 minutes after the match ends.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>One-way fares between Kent and Seattle are $4.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>A complete schedule of Sounder service to select games this season is available at <a title=\"link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.soundtransit.org\/schedules\/event-services\" target=\"_self\">soundtransit.org\/schedules\/event-services<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Special Sounder service is in addition to regular Link light rail service to and from Safeco and CenturyLink fields. Link runs every 10 minutes on weekends and serves 15 stations including the University of Washington, Capitol Hill, downtown Seattle, SODO, Beacon Hill, Rainier Valley, Tukwila and SeaTac. Link\u2019s Stadium and International District stations are a short walk from the stadiums.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Many ST Express and King County Metro buses also drop off passengers near the stadium. Link and ST Express bus schedules are available at soundtransit.org\/schedule. King County Metro bus schedules can be found at kingcounty.gov\/metro\/schedules.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Regular fares apply for all Sound Transit services. Getting an ORCA card is a great way to skip lines at ticket vending machines. Cards only cost $5 for adults, plus whatever amount a rider chooses to load in the card\u2019s E-purse or the cost of a pass that is good for unlimited transit trips. ORCA works on trains, buses and ferries throughout the region.
