Grab the sunscreen and a swimsuit — Wild Waves Theme and Water Park in Federal Way is opening Friday, June 18.

After being unable to open last season due to COVID-19, season passes and tickets purchased in 2020 will be honored in 2021.

Wild Waves, 36201 Enchanted Parkway S., is home to 70 acres of more than 40 thrill rides and one of the region’s best outdoor water parks.

Until June 30, the park is required to have capacity restrictions. All guests must make a reservation online prior to their visit from June 18 through June 30.

As restrictions and guidelines are eased, park management will work toward resuming normal operations.

“Our team is counting down the days and has put an incredible amount of time and planning into preparing Wild Waves for the 2021 season, and we are ready to welcome guests with safe, clean, outdoor entertainment,” said Jody Kneupper, park president at Wild Waves. “We want guests to know how excited we are to have them back.”

All 2020 season pass holders have automatically been upgraded to the new premium season pass, which features several new benefits, including free parking.

Early season pass processing will take place June 3-5, June 10-12, and June 16-17 from 4 to 7 p.m. in a new drive-thru process.

Season passes start at $69.99. Single-day tickets start at $39.99 if purchased online three days in advanced. Child and senior tickets are $26.99.

Some of the new health and safety precautions include managing attendance capacity (until restrictions are lifted) through park reservations, requiring face masks or coverings (unless fully vaccinated or in the water/on water slides), social distancing and increased sanitization throughout the park.
