Kent-based Blue Origin plans to hire 80 skilled technicians and machinists in Washington state who are passionate about the aerospace company’s mission to lower the cost of access to space.<\/p>\n
Blue Origin plans to fill the positions within two months to support continued company growth, according to a company post on linkedin.com.<\/p>\n
“To accelerate the hiring pipeline, we are holding two job fairs (April 17 and April 24) at our headquarters in Kent, focused on recruiting individuals eager to work on highly collaborative, inclusive and ambitious teams in service of building liquid rocket engines and fully reusable, human-rated vehicles that are safe, reliable and affordable,” according to Blue Origin. “All attendees will be required to wear masks and abide by strict COVID-19 guidelines for social distancing.”<\/p>\n
Experienced machinists and technicians are encouraged to apply online for the open positions. The company’s recruiting team will review each application and extend all qualified candidates an invitation to attend one of the hiring events. Check out the open positions at blueorigin.com\/careers<\/a>.<\/p>\n Blue Origin employs more than 3,500 across the nation and more than 2,500 in Kent, according to a company spokesperson.<\/p>\n Owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Blue Origin’s goals are to get astronauts back on the Moon and people living and working in space.
