{"id":49198,"date":"2021-03-22T11:10:00","date_gmt":"2021-03-22T18:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/tukwila-man-fatally-shot-in-kent-police-seek-suspect\/"},"modified":"2021-03-22T11:22:03","modified_gmt":"2021-03-22T18:22:03","slug":"tukwila-man-fatally-shot-in-kent-police-seek-suspect","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/tukwila-man-fatally-shot-in-kent-police-seek-suspect\/","title":{"rendered":"Tukwila man fatally shot in Kent; police seek suspect"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kent Police are looking for a suspect who reportedly fatally shot a 27-year-old Tukwila man at about 10:20 p.m. Sunday, March 21 in a parking lot <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/YMv4zs8MGAektarr6\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in the 10400 block of SE Kent Kangley <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/YMv4zs8MGAektarr6\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded to reports of a shooting and found the man inside his locked vehicle, according to police. Officers breached the window and removed the man to assess his injuries. The man had a gunshot wound to his head. Officers and paramedics tried life-saving measures but the man died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple witnesses were present near the shooting and provided information to officers. Officers located a person of interest, associated with the shooter, shortly after the shooting and detained that person for questioning.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect fled the area but is actively being sought by police. The suspect is known to the victim, so it was not a random incident.<\/p>\n<p>Police are asking that anyone with information about the shooting to call the tip line at 253-856-5808 and reference case number 21-3205.<\/p>\n<p>This is the third homicide in Kent in 2021.
