Residents can dispose of recyclable items not normally accepted at the curb during a city of Kent free event<\/a> from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 6 at Hogan Park, 24400 Russell Road.<\/p>\n

Instead of going to the landfill as trash, all items collected will be reused or recycled.<\/p>\n

Safety guidelines for the event include wear a face covering, do not attend if you feel sick or have recently been in contact with anyone who is sick or has recently been tested for coronavirus, pack materials in your trunk or backseat so they are easy to unload and remain in your car until it is your turn – you may be asked to unload your own materials or staff may remove it from your trunk.<\/p>\n

• Bulky yard debris<\/p>\n

• Cardboard<\/p>\n

• Documents for shredding<\/p>\n

• Mattresses<\/p>\n

• Porcelain – toilets and sinks (remove seat and wax ring)<\/p>\n

• Propane tanks<\/p>\n

• Scrap metal<\/p>\n

• Styrofoam<\/p>\n
