When officers contacted the people in the vehicle, they discovered that one of them had a warrant out for his arrest.<\/p>\n<p>According to the release, when officers tried to arrest the guy he ran with police in pursuit.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the foot chase began, according to the release, the man turned and pointed a handgun at pursuing officers, and officers shot him in response to the threat.
