Students from Sunrise Elementary School recently knitted carseat blankets for the Pediatric Interim Care Center in Kent \u2013 a one-of-a-kind, model program that provides specialized, 24-hour care for drug-exposed and medically fragile newborns.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The Knit-Wits, a group of beginning knitters, met Wednesday mornings for an hour before school to create the blankets.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Instructed by Sunrise staff, the club made eight carseat blankets, giving them colorful names, such as Rock-a-bye-baby, Baby Blocks, America the Beautiful, The Banana Blanket, Flower Power, Blueberry Pie, Desert Paintbrush, and Cotton Candy.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
