{"id":47879,"date":"2020-11-09T13:51:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-09T21:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/male-shot-critically-injured-at-kent-apartment-complex\/"},"modified":"2020-11-10T15:35:17","modified_gmt":"2020-11-10T23:35:17","slug":"male-shot-critically-injured-at-kent-apartment-complex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/male-shot-critically-injured-at-kent-apartment-complex\/","title":{"rendered":"Teen shot, critically injured at Kent apartment complex | Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 14-year-old boy was shot and critically injured during a incident at about 12:41 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8 at the Indigo Springs Apartments, <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/GPTuu3ar5bgvjskT9\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">11101 SE 208th St.,<\/a> in the Panther Lake area of Kent.<\/p>\n<p>A group of young males walking through the complex were confronted by another group, according to Kent Police. A 14-year-old victim in one group was shot several times, according to police reports.<\/p>\n<p>Officers were dispatched for reports of an illegal discharge near the leasing office for the apartments, said Cmdr. Robert Hollis in a Monday email. Dispatch then upgraded the call to a shooting with injuries.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Officers found the victim with gunshot wounds to his body,&rdquo; Hollis said.<\/p>\n<p>Paramedics transported the boy to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in critical condition, Hollis said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We were able to get limited information from possible witnesses,&rdquo; Hollis said about the shooting. &ldquo;Our detectives are still conducting interviews.
