{"id":47501,"date":"2020-10-05T16:58:00","date_gmt":"2020-10-05T23:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/girl-12-dies-after-being-pinned-between-two-vehicles-in-kent\/"},"modified":"2020-10-05T16:58:00","modified_gmt":"2020-10-05T23:58:00","slug":"girl-12-dies-after-being-pinned-between-two-vehicles-in-kent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/girl-12-dies-after-being-pinned-between-two-vehicles-in-kent\/","title":{"rendered":"Girl, 12, dies after being pinned between two vehicles in Kent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 12-year-old girl was killed after she was pinned between two vehicles late Saturday afternoon, Oct. 3 while walking <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/zdroXDSQAT49ae7i6\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in the 10800 block of Southeast 208th Street<\/a> in the Panther Lake area of Kent.<\/p>\n<p>Miranda Bhattacharyya died of multiple blunt force injuries in the accident, according to a Monday report by the King County Medical Examiner&rsquo;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Officers were dispatched at about 4:50 p.m. Saturday to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision, according to Kent Police. Officers arrived and found Bhattacharyya pinned between two vehicles. Puget Sound Fire and medics also were dispatched. Life-saving efforts at the scene were unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p>One of the drivers may have been experiencing a medical emergency, according to police. It did not appear that drugs or alcohol was involved.
