{"id":47105,"date":"2020-09-02T14:35:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-02T21:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/renton-man-critically-injured-in-kent-crash\/"},"modified":"2020-09-02T15:10:10","modified_gmt":"2020-09-02T22:10:10","slug":"renton-man-critically-injured-in-kent-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/renton-man-critically-injured-in-kent-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"Renton man critically injured in Kent crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 66-year-old Renton man suffered critical injuries when his SUV collided with a semi early Wednesday morning in Kent <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/hkct9s9U4k2UFutR6\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">at the intersection of 68th Avenue South and South 228th Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The semi-truck was northbound just before 6 a.m. on 68th Avenue South, according to an email from Kent Police Assistant Chief Jarod Kasner. The semi driver slowed to make the left hand turn (on a green arrow signal) onto South 228th Street and the SUV, who was eastbound on South 228th Street, reportedly ran the red light and collided into the back of the trailer.<\/p>\n<p>Paramedics took the Renton man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in critical condition, Kasner said. He was alone in the SUV.
