A sampling of Kent Police incidents from July 30 to Aug. 9:<\/p>\n

July 30<\/p>\n

Drive-by shooting<\/strong>: 2:19 a.m., officers responded to an illegal discharge. Minutes later a vehicle matching the description was observed at 116th Avenue SE and SE 248th Street. They stopped the vehicle, and officers observed bullets and casings inside the vehicle. As the driver exited the vehicle, officers saw a revolver in the driver side door storage. Underneath the front passenger seat was another revolver. The driver admitted to the gun in the driver’s door being his and to shooting the gun at the illegal discharge. The driver was booked for unlawful possession of firearms and drive-by shooting. He is a convicted felon.<\/p>\n

July 31<\/p>\n

Mustang driver fires shots<\/strong>: 11:21 a.m., a Kent Police parking enforcement officer was flagged down by a subject who stated that he was just shot at by a white male in a silver Ford Mustang. Patrol ultimately located the vehicle and arrested the subject at 132nd Avenue SE and SE 306th Street in Auburn. The suspect had a state Department of Corrections escape warrant for drive-by shooting and is an armed career criminal.<\/p>\n

Aug. 3<\/p>\n

McDonald’s shootout<\/strong>: 5:05 p.m., patrol responded to the report of occupants of two vehicles shooting back and forth in the parking lot of McDonald’s, 10125 SE 256 St. Both vehicles were gone on arrival. Shattered glass and handgun casings were located in the parking lot. One of the involved vehicles was found at the Row Apartments when the female driver called 911 to report she had been shot at. She said she picked up a man she did not know and drove him to the McDonald’s where he proceeded to meet another unknown male for a gun deal. The deal did not go as planned and the two parties started shooting at each other. Local hospitals were notified but no suspect located.<\/p>\n

Aug. 5<\/p>\n

Apartment shootout<\/strong>: 10:05 p.m., officers responded to a fight involving multiple subjects at Lake Meridian Apartments, 14901 SE 272nd St. About 10 gunshots were reported and at least two vehicles fled the scene. The first responding officers discovered the fight centered around a domestic violence assault\/order violation between the female victim and the male suspect. One vehicle was impounded for a search warrant. Officers located the suspect riding with his brother and friends. His brother was arrested for a state DOC warrant. His brother’s girlfriend was arrested for assaulting the suspect’s ex-girlfriend which touched off this incident. Officers observed shell casings where the suspect was sitting. That car was also impounded for a search warrant. The suspect was booked for violation of no contact order and the case was referred to detectives.<\/p>\n

Aug. 8<\/p>\n

Alleged rape<\/strong>: 7:33 a.m., officers responded to Bryson Square Apartments, 24006 108th Place SE, for an alleged rape of a suspect’s adult developmentally delayed daughter who also resides there. The suspect briefly spoke on the phone but refused to exit. While a search warrant was authored, a negotiator and K-9 unit responded. After extensive negotiation the situation was de-escalated, and the suspect surrendered.<\/p>\n

Aug. 9<\/p>\n

Stabbing<\/strong>: 9:51 p.m., officers responded to a fight at Phoenix Court Apartments, 23913 111th Place SE, between two parties and one had a stab wound to his back. The suspect was detained and eventually arrested and booked for assault. The victim was treated by King County Medics and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
