King County prosecutors have filed charges identifying who they believe is responsible for the death of Lorenzo Anderson, 19, who died of multiple gunshot wounds in the Seattle occupied protest zone on Capitol Hill in June.

Through a witness, surveillance footage and called-in tips, Seattle police determined the alleged shooter to be 18-year-old Marcel Levon Long. A family friend also reported to police that the two had a personal feud.

Long’s last known address is in Renton. It’s believed Long fled the state right after the shooting and he has not yet been located.

A judge set his bail at $2 million. Prosecutors filed a first-degree murder charge against Long.

Anderson was shot at 10th Avenue and Pine Street in Seattle, gaining national attention for being at the corner of the six-block area of space protesters (known as CHOP) occupied in support of defunding the police. Anderson was taken to Harborview Medical Center in a private vehicle where he was pronounced dead. Police claimed they were unable to reach the shooting incident due to protesters, but a report from KUOW’s Ashley Hiruko indicated the delay was due more to miscommunication between police and other first responders.

[9,4
["post-46817","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-home","category-news
