{"id":46722,"date":"2020-07-31T10:33:00","date_gmt":"2020-07-31T17:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-man-shot-injured-near-renton-kfc\/"},"modified":"2020-07-31T10:40:19","modified_gmt":"2020-07-31T17:40:19","slug":"kent-man-shot-injured-near-renton-kfc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-man-shot-injured-near-renton-kfc\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent man shot, injured near Renton KFC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A shooting Wednesday night, July 29, in the parking lot of <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/moGtZdqhGP4e4jLg7\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the Rainier Avenue Kentucky Fried Chicken in <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/moGtZdqhGP4e4jLg7\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Renton<\/a>, left two people shot and injured, including a Kent man.<\/p>\n<p>All those involved are believed to be identified by Renton Police. The motive of the shooting is under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>At around 10:15 p.m., police were dispatched to a shooting, where the caller reported a man approached her boyfriend and put a gun to his head, telling her not to move, and then several shots were fired, according to a Renton Police news release.<\/p>\n<p>When police arrived they discovered a Kent man with a gunshot wound to the hand. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for a non-life threatening injury.<\/p>\n<p>A short time later, police say an off-duty officer saw a car driving at a high speed in Kent with bullet holes, and notified on-duty police. The two occupants were detained by police without incident as the car is believed to be connected to the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Around that time another man was brought to Harborview for a gunshot wound to the torso, who police believe was also involved in the same shooting.
