Five males, ranging in age from 16 to 49, are in Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with gunshot wounds after a shooting around 5:55 p.m. Monday in Kent near a Metro bus stop in the area of Pacific Highway South and South 232nd <\/a>Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Three males are in serious condition and two are in satisfactory condition, according to a Tuesday morning email from a hospital spokesperson. A total of six people were shot, but the sixth victim had a minor wound and was released at the scene, according to Kent Police. Two of the victims initially were in critical condition on Monday at the hospital.<\/p>\n

Officers were dispatched to the West Hill to assist a Des Moines Police officer who located a shooting victim after being flagged down by a witness, according to Kent Police. Officers arrived and found five additional victims with gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

Detectives are working to try to determine the events that led to the shooting, collecting evidence, reviewing available video surveillance and talking to witnesses. Police said the incident does not appear to be random.<\/p>\n

Police closed the southbound lanes of Pacific Highway South between Kent Des Moines Road and the 23600 block to investigate the shooting.<\/p>\n
