{"id":46313,"date":"2020-06-25T14:46:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-25T21:46:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/life\/showare-center-in-kent-to-offer-drive-in-movies\/"},"modified":"2020-06-26T13:06:02","modified_gmt":"2020-06-26T20:06:02","slug":"showare-center-in-kent-to-offer-drive-in-movies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/life\/showare-center-in-kent-to-offer-drive-in-movies\/","title":{"rendered":"ShoWare Center in Kent to offer drive-in movies | Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Drive-in movies are coming to the accesso ShoWare Center parking lot in Kent.<\/p>\n<p>With the city-owned arena still closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, ShoWare operators set up to offer movies in the rear parking lot on a 42-by-23-foot LED screen that can even be seen in outdoor light.<\/p>\n<p>ShoWare Center has partnered with Promosa USA, Kent Downtown Partnership and the Kent Lions Club to bring the first accesso ShoWare Center Outdoor Cinema, according to a ShoWare news release.<\/p>\n<p>The series will feature &ldquo;The Land Before Time&rdquo; at 6:30 p.m. and &ldquo;Jurassic Park&rdquo; at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday through Sunday, July 8-12.<\/p>\n<p>Online ticket sales will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 29. Tickets will only be sold online via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessoshowarecenter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"showare\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">accessoshowarecenter.com<\/a>. Showtimes for each night will be 6:30 and 9:30. Once the series kicks off, titles of films will be announced each Wednesday for the following week.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $40 per vehicle for premium general admission and $30 for general admission. The number of seat belts per vehicle denotes how many passengers will be allowed to each showing. Motorcycles are $20. There are 95 vehicle spots available per showing. No RVs will be allowed. All parking is first-come, first-served in the two sections.<\/p>\n<p>Advanced hygienic safeguards will be provided at the outdoor cinema, including cleaning staff at restrooms, touchless ticket scanning and hand sanitizer stations available near food and beverage stalls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Things to know:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8226; No outside food and beverage. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase<\/p>\n<p>&#8226; A FM radio station for you to tune from your vehicle will be displayed on the screen before the movie begins<\/p>\n<p>&#8226; Masks will be required for purchasing food and beverage items, using public restrooms and communicating with ShoWare Center staff. Masks will be available for purchase.<\/p>\n<p>&#8226; Each vehicle requires one ticket. The amount of people allowed in each vehicle will be determined by the amount of seat belts per vehicle.
