{"id":45338,"date":"2020-04-01T11:55:00","date_gmt":"2020-04-01T18:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/man-dies-in-auburn-shooting\/"},"modified":"2020-04-01T11:55:00","modified_gmt":"2020-04-01T18:55:00","slug":"man-dies-in-auburn-shooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/man-dies-in-auburn-shooting\/","title":{"rendered":"Man dies in Auburn shooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man in his 50s died after he was shot during a reported robbery attempt Tuesday night at a boat repair shop <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/MXFszZgoV2bPpsrk6\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in the 3500 block of C Street Northeast<\/a> in Auburn.<\/p>\n<p>Another man in his 50s was injured after he was assaulted with a gun, said Auburn Police Cmdr. Mike Hirman during a phone interview Wednesday. Police are looking for the suspect.<\/p>\n<p>A truck pulled up outside the shop at about 9:40 p.m. A man entered the shop and demanded money. He then shot one man, who died at the scene, and assaulted the second man, Hirman said. Paramedics transported the second man to a local hospital. Hirman said he didn&rsquo;t know if the man remained in the hospital or had been released.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives are working the case hard, Hirman said.
