{"id":45298,"date":"2020-03-30T01:30:00","date_gmt":"2020-03-30T08:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/property-tax-deadline-extended-to-june\/"},"modified":"2020-03-30T15:02:08","modified_gmt":"2020-03-30T22:02:08","slug":"property-tax-deadline-extended-to-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/property-tax-deadline-extended-to-june\/","title":{"rendered":"Property tax deadline extended to June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>King County Executive Dow Constantine announced today that the first half of 2020 property taxes for individual residential and commercial taxpayers has been extended to June 1.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Many homeowners are facing extraordinary financial challenges during this public health emergency,&rdquo; Constantine said in a March 30 press release. &ldquo;My order provides short-term relief for individual taxpayers who own residential or commercial property, while allowing the state, county, cities and special purpose districts to continue meeting community needs as we all pull together to get through this unprecedented crisis.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>This deadline extension only affects those who pay their property taxes themselves, as opposed to through a mortgage lender.
