Jay Inslee will lay out enhanced strategies to mitigate the COVID-19 outbreak during a public address at 5:30 p.m. Monday (March 23).<\/p>\n<p>A media advisory to announce the address did not specify what steps Inslee might take. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation\/2020\/03\/21\/coronavirus-lockdown-orders-shelter-place-stay-home-state-list\/2891193001\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"link\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Several states, including California and New York, have adopted so-called stay at home or shelter in place measures<\/a> that limit where people may travel, shop and work away from their homes. Most have a list of businesses exempt from the policy, such as grocery stores and gas stations.<\/p>\n<p>Following the address, Chief of Staff David Postman, General Counsel Kathryn Leathers and others will be available to answer media questions.
