Ever wanted to know more about the how the Kent Police Department operates? Or what the different units within the department do?<\/p>\n
Perhaps you are curious to see inside the 911 call center and the City of Kent Corrections Facility? You can get all these answers and more with the 10 week Community Police Academy.<\/p>\n
Classes are on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9 p.m. starting on March 25, and are at the Kent Police and Fire Training Center, 24523 116th Ave. SE, on the East Hill.<\/p>\n

There is no cost for participating in the Community Police Academy. It is open to any adult 18 years or older that lives, works, or has an interest in the city of Kent and the Kent Police Department. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. For security reasons, all applicants must pass a background check. Persons with a felony conviction or recent misdemeanor conviction are not eligible to participate.<\/p>\n
