The Washington State Patrol is asking for help from anyone who might have witnessed the death of a 21-year-old Sammamish man after he jumped from the Boren Street overpass and landed in northbound traffic along Interstate 5 in Seattle at about 11:28 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4.

Just before the man landed on I-5, the State Patrol 911 dispatch center received a call that a man who appeared to be preparing to jump was on the Boren Street overpass, according to a State Patrol media release.

Detectives believe the man was struck by at least one vehicle after he jumped and was lying in the roadway. No vehicles at the scene were identified as running over the man and it is possible the driver who struck the man may not have realized at the time what they ran over.

Detectives would like to speak with anyone who may have seen the man, or believes they may have struck debris in, or near the roadway at that time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Medeiros at 425-401-7719.
