The King County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to find out who killed a 16-year-old Des Moines boy whose body was found Sept. 10 in the Green River near Auburn in unincorporated King County.<\/p>\n

Detectives are asking for anyone who has information about Juan Carlos Con Guzman’s killing to call the Sheriff’s Office at 206-296-3311, according to a news release Monday.<\/p>\n

Guzman, who had just started his junior year at Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines, died of of homicidal violence – multiple blunt-and-sharp-force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.<\/p>\n

Two fisherman were walking along the bank of the river the morning of Sept. 10 in the 12700 block southeast of Green Valley Road<\/a> when they saw a body in the water and called 911. The King County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit recovered Guzman later that afternoon, according to Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Ryan Abbott.<\/p>\n

Guzman’s father posted on gofundme.com that his son reportedly had left the house on Sept. 10 at about 2 a.m. without notice. When the family discovered he was gone, the father said he went to the police department and filed a missing person report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
