The city of Kent Summer Concert Series offers tons of entertainment in July and August.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Here is the July schedule for the weekly Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday performances:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u2022 TAKE OUT TUESDAYS<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Noon \u2013 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Kent Station Plaza<\/p>\n<\/p>\n 417 Ramsay Way<\/p>\n<\/p>\n July 7<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Ranger and the<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cRe-Arrangers\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Evoke the spirit of a Paris caf\u00e9 and the raucous energy of a Gypsy campsite. The band\u2019s repertoire includes swing standards, traditional Gypsy melodies, the music of Django Reinhardt, and Ranger\u2019s unique originals.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n July 14<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Jessica Lynne<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Compared to luminaries like Dolly Parton and Miranda Lambert, Jessica Lynne has taken the Northwest by storm. She has already played legendary stages at the Gorge Amphitheater and the Triple Door.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n July 21<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Sundae + Mr. Goessl<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The duo of Jason Goessl and Kate Voss embodies a spirit of 1930s pop. They repackage classics with a fresh vintage patina. They perform mostly originals and throw in some country classics from past legends.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n July 22<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Raucous Band<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Raucous (pronounced \u201cRock Us\u201d) presents an energy-packed, audience-friendly performance, playing a wide variety of classic rock and dance music.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n July 29<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Senate<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Guitarists Nick Drummond and Oliver Franklin\u2019s distinctive songwriting styles showcase inspirations ranging from dusty and shimmering West African guitar to the grit and raw power of American rock.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u2022 THURSDAYS AT THE LAKE<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n 7-8:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Lake Meridian Park<\/p>\n<\/p>\n 14800 SE 272nd St.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n July 9<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Suffers<\/p>\n<\/p>\n This 10-piece band from Houston, Texas is redefining the sound of Gulf Coast Soul, intertwining elements of Classic American Soul with rock ‘n’ roll. Both sonically and visually arresting, the ensemble features talented rhythm and horn sections that provide the perfect foundation for singer Kam Franklin’s massive voice.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n July 16<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Little Bill and the Blue Notes<\/p>\n<\/p>\n This Northwest original will have audiences singing the blues! “Little Bill” Englehart has been a fixture on the music scene in the region since he first started playing in the mid-50s.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n July 23<\/p>\n<\/p>\n JP Hennessey<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Based in Seattle, JP Hennessy is an Irish recording artist taking strong influence from blues, soul and rock ‘n’ roll. He has a fan base that stretches from Seattle right back to his homeland.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n July 30<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Stooges Brass Band<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Stooges Brass Band consistently delivers a high energy show engaging audiences with their innovative blend of traditional New Orleans brass sounds, contemporary jazz and hip-hop beats.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Kent Summer Concerts are presented by Kent Parks, Recreation and Community Services, the Kent Arts Commission, and Kent Station with the support of local sponsors.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
