Residents can dispose of recyclable items that are not normally accepted at the curb at the city of Kent fall Recycling Collection Event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Hogan Park, 24400 Russell Road.<\/p>\n
Instead of going to the landfill as trash, all items collected at the event will be reused or recycled. Among the items that will be accepted at the event are:<\/p>\n
• Appliances<\/p>\n
• Batteries<\/p>\n
• Cardboard<\/p>\n
• CFC Appliances – refrigerators, freezers, AC units<\/p>\n
• Concrete<\/p>\n
• Electronics (No TV’s or monitors – visit e-cycle Washington for more details)<\/p>\n
• Mattresses<\/p>\n
• Porcelain – toilets and sinks<\/p>\n
• Propane tanks<\/p>\n
• Shredding<\/p>\n
• Styrofoam<\/p>\n
• Reusable household goods and clothing<\/p>\n
