{"id":4184,"date":"2013-01-09T15:01:56","date_gmt":"2013-01-09T23:01:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/voter-registration-deadlines-looming\/"},"modified":"2016-10-21T17:05:38","modified_gmt":"2016-10-22T00:05:38","slug":"voter-registration-deadlines-looming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/voter-registration-deadlines-looming\/","title":{"rendered":"Voter registration deadlines looming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>The state&#8217;s general election may have been just two months ago, but it&#8217;s voter registration time if you want to vote in upcoming special elections.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>A number of school, fire, EMS, park, cemetery and transportation districts throughout Washington will hold elections on Feb. 12 to vote on special levies.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Thirty-two of Washington&#8217;s 39 counties have a special election that day.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>For the February elections, Monday, Jan. 14, is the last day to register to vote or update voter registration info by mail or online. Feb. 4 is the deadline for in-person registration for new Washington voters. You have to go to your <a title=\"county elections office\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sos.wa.gov\/elections\/auditors.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">county elections office<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>to register in person.
