A man was killed at about 4:03 p.m. Wednesday after he was hit by a southbound Sound Transit Sounder train on the BNSF Railway tracks at South 212th Street and 77th Avenue <\/a>South<\/a>.<\/p>\n It was a Sound Transit commuter train, said BNSF Railway spokesman Gus Melonas in a phone call. Initial Kent Police reports indicated it had been an Amtrak train.<\/p>\n The man died on impact, Kent Police spokeswoman Melanie Robinson said in an email.<\/p>\n Sound Transit announced at about 4:30 p.m. that no further trains will depart Seattle’s King Street Station at this time.
