Children’s Home Society of Washington hosts its annual Roll & Read event on Saturday, Aug. 3.<\/p>\n

Bimbo Bakeries and Wells Fargo support the event that celebrates learning for all ages. The free event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

Start at the South King County Family Resource Center, 212 Fifth Ave. S., Kent, and then walk or stroller through downtown Kent enjoying games and activities at each stop.<\/p>\n

The event features a scavenger hunt, stroller\/wagon decorating contest and other activities. The first 100 children who are in kindergarten through fifth grade will receive a free backpack and new book to take home.<\/p>\n
