Q:<\/strong> What is your favorite subject in school?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> Math.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> What other activities do you participate in?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> I enjoy working out and pottery.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> Person who has helped you succeed the most?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> Both my parents have helped me succeed the most because they are always supporting me and pushing me to do my best.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> My pre-game ritual is that I always stick to the same exact warm-up routine every time.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> Song you currently can’t get enough of?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> “Old Town Road” remix.<\/p>\n From the Sideline<\/strong><\/p>\n “Suffering a key injury to their pitching staff and shorthanded after a 10-inning game versus Kentwood, the Falcons backs were up against the wall and senior leader and pitcher Kadin Salisbury called for the ball. On short rest against second-place Kentridge, he threw a gem. In total, Salisbury pitched six innings last week, surrendering just one run against two of the NPSL’s top teams while earning the win against Kentridge last Wednesday night. She has always supported me in everything I do.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> Yes, I just put my earbuds in and listen to my playlist, which gets me in the zone.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> Song you currently can’t get enough of?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen.<\/p>\n From the Sideline<\/strong><\/p>\n “Katie Valerio is an amazing student-athlete, on and off the tennis court, and deserves to be the Athlete of the Week. Katie is finishing up her fourth season as a varsity tennis player, is co-captain and won both of her league matches last week – defeating her opponents from Kentwood and Mount Rainier. Katie is a natural leader and role model for her younger teammates and always encourages others to do their best. Not only is Katie a great tennis player, she also runs cross country and played basketball through her sophomore year.
