{"id":40248,"date":"2019-04-24T15:34:00","date_gmt":"2019-04-24T22:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/sounder-train-to-run-for-sounders-mariners-game-on-sunday-april-28\/"},"modified":"2019-04-24T15:52:02","modified_gmt":"2019-04-24T22:52:02","slug":"sounder-train-to-run-for-sounders-mariners-game-on-sunday-april-28","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/sounder-train-to-run-for-sounders-mariners-game-on-sunday-april-28\/","title":{"rendered":"Sounder train to run for Sounders, Mariners games on Sunday, April 28"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sports fans can skip traffic coming into Seattle on Sunday, April 28, by riding Sound Transit&rsquo;s Sounder event train to the Sounders FC vs. Los Angeles FC 12:30 p.m. soccer match at CenturyLink Field and the Mariners vs. Texas Rangers 1:10 p.m. baseball game at T-Mobile Park.<\/p>\n<p>The stadium-bound train will depart Lakewood at 10:16 a.m. and stop in Kent at 11:05 a.m. The train arrives by the stadiums at 11:32 a.m. The return train departs King Street Station 35 minutes after the M&rsquo;s game. The one-way fare between Kent and Seattle is $4.<\/p>\n<p>A complete schedule of Sounder service to select Sounders FC and Mariners games this season is available at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soundtransit.org\/ride-with-us\/popular-destinations\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"link\">soundtransit.org\/schedules\/event-services<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Special Sounder service is in addition to regular Link light rail service to and from CenturyLink and T-Mobile fields. Link runs every 10 minutes on Saturday and Sunday and serves 16 stations at the University of Washington, on Capitol Hill, in downtown Seattle, SODO, Beacon Hill, Rainier Valley, Tukwila and SeaTac. Link&rsquo;s Stadium and International District stations are a short walk from CenturyLink and T-Mobile fields.<\/p>\n<p>Many ST Express and King County Metro buses also drop off passengers near the stadiums. Link and ST Express bus schedules are available at soundtransit.org\/schedule. King County Metro bus schedules can be found at metro.kingcounty.gov\/schedules\/.<\/p>\n<p>Sounder riders can avoid the lines for the ticket vending machines going home by paying for the return trip with the purchase of a Day Pass. One-way tickets and Day Passes can also be purchased with the Transit GO Ticket app.<\/p>\n<p>Another way to skip lines at ticket vending machines is by getting an ORCA card. Cards only cost $5 for adults, plus whatever amount a rider chooses to load in the card&rsquo;s E-purse or the cost of a pass that is good for unlimited transit trips. ORCA works on trains, buses and ferries throughout the region.
