Q:<\/strong> What is your favorite subject in school?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> Math.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> What other activities do you participate in?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> Swimming, water polo and playing music.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> Person who has helped you succeed the most?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> My mom, who has supported me and kept me on track throughout all of high school.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> I touch the crossbar of the goal I’m defending before every half.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> Song you currently can’t get enough of?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon<\/p>\n From the Sideline<\/strong><\/p>\n “Hans was the 2018 first-team NPSL Cascade Division goalkeeper. He is one of the top goalkeepers in the league and is among the leaders in saves-to-goals-against ratios. Hans has taken on a leadership role this year, on and off the field. His positive influence toward his teammates has allowed our young players to grow.”<\/p>\n – Coach Glenn Walrond<\/p>\n ===<\/p>\n Kentridge High School’s Hannah Schabbing, senior, tennis, is the Kent Reporter’s Female Athlete of the Week.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> What is your favorite subject in school?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> English.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> What other activities do you participate in?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> Hiking, backpacking, watching movies and spending time with friends.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> Person who has helped you succeed?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> My team helps me become a better player. In class, my teachers motivate me to become a better student. Outside of school, my family helps me become a better version of myself.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> After each game I will blast the song “Hallelujah” because it puts me in a hyped mood, whether we lose or win. It’s always important to restart after each match, and that song helps.<\/p>\n Q:<\/strong> Song you can’t get enough of?<\/p>\n A:<\/strong> “Girl Gang” by Gin Wigmore.<\/p>\n From the Sideline<\/strong><\/p>\n “Hannah “The Hamma” Schabbing is 4-1 in doubles play.
