{"id":40042,"date":"2019-04-10T17:08:00","date_gmt":"2019-04-11T00:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/vehicle-strikes-injures-woman-in-kent-crosswalk\/"},"modified":"2019-04-11T10:24:14","modified_gmt":"2019-04-11T17:24:14","slug":"vehicle-strikes-injures-woman-in-kent-crosswalk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/vehicle-strikes-injures-woman-in-kent-crosswalk\/","title":{"rendered":"Vehicle strikes, injures woman in Kent crosswalk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kent Police arrested a 36-year-old Seattle woman for investigation of vehicular assault and DUI after she allegedly injured a woman in a crosswalk Tuesday evening <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/sXpaBDYk3Mp\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\">in the 2600 block of South 272nd Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The driver was traveling westbound on South 272nd Street just after 6 p.m. when she reportedly struck a 27-year-old Federal Way woman as she crossed the street in a marked crosswalk, according to a Kent Police news release. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a local hospital where she was in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p>The Seattle woman stopped immediately, remained on location and spoke with officers. Investigators believe that that alcohol and speed may have been contributing factors to the collision.
