The Community Network Council hosts Believe, Achieve, and Thrive – a youth and family celebration – on Saturday, March 9 at Kent Masonic Hall, 805 E. Smith St.<\/p>\n
Special guest is Eddie Moore, Jr. , author of “The Guide For White Women Who Teach Black Boys,” who will deliver the keynote address.<\/p>\n
The event is sponsored by the CNC Cultural Enrichment Program, which aims to make the connection between the power of African-American history and the education of youth. The program aims to increase the self-esteem and well-being of youth by focusing on cultural identity and pride.<\/p>\n
The celebration will include speakers, a step performance and food.<\/p>\n
