Jordyn Jenkins poured in 33 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and JaQuaya Miller had 10 points and 15 rebounds, powering Kentridge to a 75-64 win over Bellarmine Prep for its second straight West Central\/Southwest District girls basketball championship last Saturday at Puyallup High School.<\/p>\n
The second-ranked Chargers (23-2) advance to play Inglemoor of Kenmore (20-5) in the regional playoffs. Tipoff is 4 p.m. this Saturday at Auburn Mountainview High School.<\/p>\n
Dayla Ballena, a junior guard, finished with 14 points for the Chargers.<\/p>\n
Jenkins scored 24 points and Miller had 18 as Kentridge handled Camas 67-48 in the district semifinals at Auburn Mountainview High School on Friday night.<\/p>\n
Kentridge, behind a balanced attack, put away Rogers of Puyallup 78-63 in the quarterfinals at Wilson High School in Tacoma on Wednesday night. Jenkins scored 27 points, Miller tossed in 17 and Ballena had 14 for the Chargers. Kiernen Denckla finished with 10 points.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere<\/strong><\/p>\n The Chargers (19-9) dropped a 56-44 decision to Battle Ground (18-8) in a district playoff game last Saturday at Tacoma’s Stadium High School, settling for the No. 6 seed to regionals.<\/p>\n Owen Paznokas’ nine points led Kentridge.
