The following are Memorial Day services for the local area.\u00a0The public is invited to the events:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0The American Legion Post 15 <\/strong>conducts a Memorial Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park<\/strong>, 1005 Reiten Road, Kent. The ceremony honors veterans interned at the cemetery in the last year.\u00a0 The Kentwood High School Junior ROTC provides the color guard and rifle salute.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0Tahoma National Cemetery <\/strong>observes a 1 p.m. ceremony. The cemetery is at 18600 SE 240th St. For more information, call 425-413-9614 or visit www.cem.va.gov\/cems\/nchp\/tahoma.asp<\/a>. The ceremony includes music and a salute to military forces.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0A Memorial Day service begins at 10 a.m. at Auburn Mountain View Cemetery<\/strong>, 2020 Mountain View Drive. The cemetery offers special office hours during the weekend to help families. Warren Building, Veterans Memorial Park<\/strong>, 405 E. St. NE, Auburn.
