{"id":37512,"date":"2018-11-04T17:30:00","date_gmt":"2018-11-05T01:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/driver-loses-control-of-car-crashes-into-townhouse\/"},"modified":"2018-11-04T17:30:00","modified_gmt":"2018-11-05T01:30:00","slug":"driver-loses-control-of-car-crashes-into-townhouse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/driver-loses-control-of-car-crashes-into-townhouse\/","title":{"rendered":"Driver loses control of car, crashes into townhouse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>No one was hurt after the driver of a small sedan lost control and struck the side of a two-story townhouse in the 12400 block of Southeast 272 Place, Kent, on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>One person was in the car and two in the home at the time the incident, which reportedly occurred around 2 p.m., the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority reported.<\/p>\n<p>At least one of the two people in the home was in the room where the impact took place but was able to escape injury, Puget Sound Fire said.<\/p>\n<p>The car, traveling north on 124 Avenue Southeast, left the road approximately 150 feet south of the building, going through a culvert, hitting two curbs and tearing up shrubbery before flipping over and hitting the building, Puget Sound Fire said.<\/p>\n<p>Police are investigating what caused the car to leave the road.<\/p>\n<p>A Kent building official red-tagged the building.
