The Tri-City Americans snapped the Seattle Thunderbirds’ four-game winning streak with a 4-2 victory Friday night at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.<\/p>\n

The teams meet for the third consecutive game at 6:05 p.m. Saturday at the accesso ShoWare Center.<\/p>\n

The T-Birds won the first game 5-4 in Kent on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Seattle (6-2-1-0) jumped out to a 2-0 lead with two goals in 1:16 early in the first period.<\/p>\n

Jake Lee gathered a loose puck in the neutral zone, skated into the offensive zone on the left wing and beat Tri-City goalie Beck Warm with a wrist shot over the glove from the left circle at 3:12.<\/p>\n

Payton Mount chased the puck down the left wing in the Americans zone and won a board battle. Mount passed the puck low to Zack Andrusiak, who sent the puck into the slot to Mount, who found Noah Philp at the backdoor with a pass. Philp beat Warm, who had gone down, thinking Mount was going to shoot, at 4:28.<\/p>\n

Tri-City (5-4-0-0) cut the lead to one at 9:29 of the first when Connor Bouchard scored. Riley Sawchuk and Sasha Mutala had the assists.<\/p>\n

The Americans tied the game 2-2 at 14-minute mark on Kyle Olson’s goal. Isaac Johnson and Nolan Yaremko had the assists.<\/p>\n

Parker AuCoin gave the Americans a 3-2 lead at 14:51 of the third. He then added an empty-net goal with one minute left to seal the win for Tri-City.<\/p>\n

Seattle outshot Tri-City 9-7 in the third period. Both teams finished with 26 shots.<\/p>\n

Cole Schwebius got his second start of the season in net for Seattle and had 22 saves on 25 shots.<\/p>\n

Warm stopped 24 of 26 shots.<\/p>\n
