Out of the Box Manufacturing (OBMFG) hosts students and community members for a Manufacturing Day event on Friday – part of an effort to draw greater attention to today’s manufacturing environment and the career opportunities it can provide.

The event is from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at OBMFG, 1600 SW 43rd St., Suite 200, Renton.

OBMFG will open its doors for plant tours, machine demos and hands-on activities to allow community members to see first-hand the safe, high-tech and innovative work environments that await those who pursue careers in manufacturing.

Students from Bonney Lake High School, Tahoma High School, a group of homeschool students, as well as representatives from Prototron Circuits, MarcTech2, Monsoon Solutions and other local manufacturing industry leaders are participating.
