Gene Bremner, food for thought: I’m a senior in the city limits of Kent, and my property taxes were cut in half when I applied for tax relief for low-income seniors and disabled persons.<\/p>\n
It’s available to those 61 years and older, with an income of $40,000 or less.<\/p>\n
I wouldn’t exactly call that “under the bus.” If you want to complain, I’d suggest you discuss the Kent City Council’s decision not to join the rest of Washington state – with a few exceptions – to refuse to allow the sale of marijuana within our city limits. This ridiculous decision sends tax dollars to neighboring cities.<\/p>\n
Until this changes, I won’t support even one dollar for anything they want to do.<\/p>\n
