The Seattle Thunderbirds open training camp on Wednesday, Aug. 22, with four scrimmages at the accesso ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St.<\/p>\n
In scrimmages between players born in 2002 and 2003, Team Blue plays Team Grey at 9 a.m. and Team White plays Team Green at 10:45 a.m. Later, Team Blue plays Team White at 4:30 p.m. and Team Green plays Team Grey at 6:15 p.m.<\/p>\n
Scrimmages continue the next day at the same hours. The evening session will feature a third- vs. fourth-place scrimmage at 4:30, and a first- vs. second-place scrimmage at 6:15.<\/p>\n
Scrimmages on Friday, Aug. 24, will include all players, with sessions set for 3, 4 and 5 p.m. A 9 a.m. scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 25, involves Team Blue, Team White and Team Grey.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, Aug. 26, the last day of training camp will feature a 60-minute, three-period game, with teams wearing white and blue game jerseys. Face-off is 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
All scrimmages and the Blue-White game are open to the public free of charge. Fans should enter the arena from the east side of the building.<\/p>\n
Tune-ups<\/strong><\/p>\n The Thunderbirds will play seven exhibition games prior to the start of the Western Hockey League regular season.<\/p>\n The T-Birds begin the preseason at the Delta Hotels’ Preseason Classic in Everett – playing the Vancouver Giants at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, the Everett Silvertips at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, and the Spokane Chiefs at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2.<\/p>\n Preseason play continues at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, where the T-Birds take on the Chiefs at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, and face the Kootenay Ice at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7.<\/p>\n The T-Birds wrap up preseason play with back-to-back games against the Everett Silvertips – on home ice at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, and at the Angel of the Winds Arena for a 7:05 p.m. meeting on Saturday, Sept. 15.<\/p>\n Tickets<\/strong><\/p>\n Seattle opens the regular season against the Portland Winterhawks at 6:05 p.m, Saturday, Sept. 22 at the ShoWare Center. <\/p>\n
