The Greater Kent Historical Society (GKHS) presents Hoptoberfest, an evening in celebration of Kent’s hop history, on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Kent Senior Activity Center, 600 E. Smith St.<\/p>\n
The fundraising gala features guest speaker Michael Rizzo, author of “Washington Beer: A Heady History.”<\/p>\n
The evening includes dinner, a dessert dash and a silent auction. A curated selection of craft beers and a variety of wines will be served.<\/p>\n
Admission is $50 per person through Sept. 1, $60 per person after Sept. 1.<\/p>\n
Reservations are required.<\/p>\n
Proceeds support the mission of the GKHS.<\/p>\n
