{"id":36017,"date":"2018-07-27T17:15:00","date_gmt":"2018-07-28T00:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/man-fatally-shot-by-deputy-in-kent-station-parking-garage-identified\/"},"modified":"2018-07-27T17:17:38","modified_gmt":"2018-07-28T00:17:38","slug":"man-fatally-shot-by-deputy-in-kent-station-parking-garage-identified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/man-fatally-shot-by-deputy-in-kent-station-parking-garage-identified\/","title":{"rendered":"Man fatally shot by deputy in Kent Station parking garage identified"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An 18-year-old Auburn man fatally shot Thursday morning by a deputy at the Kent Station parking garage has been identified as Jesus Hernandez-Murillo.<\/p>\n<p>Hernandez-Murillo died from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the King County Medical Examiner&rsquo;s Office media report on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The teen reportedly reached for a rifle when a King County Sheriff&rsquo;s Office deputy working for Sound Transit approached him as he sat in the driver&rsquo;s seat of a stolen Honda Civic parked on the first floor of the garage used by Sounder train commuters as well as customers of the nearby shopping center, according to the Sheriff&rsquo;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy and Hernandez-Murillo struggled inside and outside of the vehicle before the deputy shot him.
