The Kent Arts Commission is seeking entries for an online exhibit via Kent Creates, a web platform for sharing art, culture and creative endeavors.<\/p>\n
The most recent exhibit for Kent Creates is open July 12 through Aug. 31 and focuses on the theme of “Vacations and Summer Celebrations.” The call for entries reads:<\/p>\n
Summer is here and with it comes vacations and various celebrations! How do you fill your summer… Fun in the sun, Independence Day celebrations, road trips, family gatherings, camps for kids, maybe even some blissfully lazy days? For this exhibit, the commission encourages artists and creative minds to gain inspiration from summertime fun.<\/p>\n
The exhibit is open to any creative endeavor – photographs, paintings, poems, recipes, short films, songs, or stories – anything creative minds can dream up. Work may be submitted through Aug. 31. The commission will select the top five pieces, which will receive $200 honorariums and featured status on the website.<\/p>\n
The web platform is for artists, musicians, writers, crafters, illustrators, dancers, filmmakers, hobbyists, and other creatives to share their work and meet people with similar interests.<\/p>\n
