The graduation was June 13 in the school&rsquo;s gym. Excel, a Green Dot school, offers grades seventh through ninth this year with a total of 165 students. The school will offer grades seventh through 10th next fall.<\/p>\n<p>The students completed rigorous college prep curriculum, including Excel&rsquo;s one-of-a-kind computational thinking program that teaches critical thinking skills rooted in computer science principles, according to school officials.<\/p>\n<p>Washington voters approved the creation of charter schools in 2012.
