Steel Magic Northwest, a local nonprofit organization providing after-school steel band to Kent School District students from the sixth grade on up, present its Here Comes the Sun spring concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Sunrise Elementary School, 22300 132nd Ave. SE, Kent.<\/p>\n
The concert will feature a brief warmup by the school’s choir, and the Steel Sharks sixth-grade ensemble joined by members of the Pan Police elementary ensemble from Edmonds, and the advanced Pan Wizards secondary level ensemble – a group rapidly gaining regional attention – that will be joined by some of its counterparts from Edmonds as well.<\/p>\n
The program ranges from classical music to calypso, with many popular favorites, including “Here Comes the Sun.”<\/p>\n
Admission is free. Tax-deductible donations are accepted.<\/p>\n
