{"id":3474,"date":"2015-12-20T15:25:07","date_gmt":"2015-12-20T23:25:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/kentridge-girls-fall-in-shootout-showdown-prep-basketball\/"},"modified":"2016-10-22T21:00:39","modified_gmt":"2016-10-23T04:00:39","slug":"kentridge-girls-fall-in-shootout-showdown-prep-basketball","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/sports\/kentridge-girls-fall-in-shootout-showdown-prep-basketball\/","title":{"rendered":"Kentridge girls fall in Shootout showdown | Prep basketball"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>Kentridge had trouble containing West Seattle&#8217;s towering Lydia Giomi, falling 56-37 at the ShoWare Shootout on Saturday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Giomi, the Wildcats&#8217; 6-foot-7 senior force who is bound for the University of Oregon, scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the nonleague game at the ShoWare Center.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>West Seattle improved to 6-0, while the Chargers dropped to 6-1 on the season.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Morgan Gary led Kentridge with 13 points.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Evergreen Oral Surgery presented the all-day, eight-game showcase.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>In other Shootout games Saturday:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p><strong>BOYS<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p><strong>Bellevue 70, Kentwood 55:<\/strong> Sharif Khan and Mikey Henn each scored 23 points to lead the Wolverines (5-0) past the Conquerors (6-2).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Darius Lubom scored 14 points, Koby Huerta had 13, Rayvaughn Bolton contributed 10, and Beau Roggenbach finished with eight points and eight rebounds for Kentwood.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p><strong>Kentlake 59, Washington 44:<\/strong> Austin Mcbryde had 15 points, Kevin Baker scored 14 and Trey Helgeson finished with 12 as the Falcons (3-2) pulled away for the win.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p><strong>GIRLS<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p><strong>Lynden Christian 43, Kentlake 33:<\/strong> Aolani Talamaivao-Calderon and Sydney Peterson each scored seven points in the Falcons&#8217; loss.
