The Portland Winterhawks shut out the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-0 Saturday night at the ShoWare Center.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Seattle (16-23-0-1) faces the Spokane Chiefs at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena Monday at 2 pm.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Ty Rattie scored a power-play goal to get Portland (29-12-2-1) on the board at 3:13 of the second period. Brad Ross and Derrick Pouliot had the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Portland made it 2-0 at 3:54 of the second on an unassisted goal by Oliver Gabriel.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Marcel Noebels scored Portland’s third goal at 12:32 of the second. The goal was assisted by Derrick Pouliot and Troy Ruktowski.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Portland went ahead 4-0 on a goal by Rutkowski at 18:21 of the third. Ross and Joe Morrow had the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Portland finished with a 52-25 advantage in shots on goal at the end of the game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Calvin Pickard made 48 saves on 52 shots, making his record 16-19-0-1.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Mac Carruth saved all 25 shots on goal, improving his record to 27-10-1-0.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
