Hillcrest Cemetery<\/p>\n
The annual Memorial Day service at Kent’s Hillcrest Cemetery starts 10 a.m. May 31, and will be hosted by the American Legion Post No. 15 of Kent. Guest speaker will be Mayor Suzette Cooke. The Coast Guard Auxiliary Color Guard from Flotilla 24 will present the colors and the Kentwood Junior ROTC Honor Guard will perform the rifle salute. Assisting with flag displays will be Girl Scout Troup 50810, Boy Scout Troop 406, and Cub Scout Troop 474. Hillcrest Cemetery is located at 1005 Reiten Road.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Tahoma National Cemetery<\/p>\n
American Legion Post No. 15 Honor Guard of Kent will perform rifle-salute honors at 1 p.m. May 31 at the Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 S.E. 240th St.,Kent. In addition there will be speakers and live music at the annual event in the national cemetery, as well as opportunities for all to visit veteran grave sites. Saint Patrick Cemetery<\/p>\n
Rev. Richard Ward will be the celebrant and homilist for Memorial Day services 10:10 a.m. May 31 at Saint Patrick Cemetery, located at South 204th and Orilla Road in Kent.
