The King County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 23-year-old SeaTac man for investigation of two counts of assault for reportedly shooting and injuring two Federal Way teens Monday evening in a possible gang dispute at Angle Lake Park in SeaTac.

Multiple 911 callers at about 5:40 p.m. reported seeing a man shooting a gun toward a vehicle at the park, 19408 International Blvd., according to a Sheriff’s Office press release. A friend drove the two males, ages 17 and 19, to a local hospital with gunshot wounds. The two each sustained non-life threatening injuries

Deputies found numerous shell casings at the park. Witnesses reported a man had fled to a vehicle near the boat launch, where police arrested the man. They also found a handgun on the suspect.

Detectives are continuing to investigate what led up to the shooting, but it appears the suspects are possibly gang affiliated. Some type of disturbance occurred in the park that led up to the shooting. Multiple shots were fired at the park, more suspects may still be outstanding.

A house located across the lake from where the shooting occurred was struck by a stray bullet. No one was injured in the home.
