HomeStreet Bank, a subsidiary of HomeStreet, Inc., today announced the opening of its first-ever dedicated commercial lending center in Kent.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The center will focus on meeting the lending needs of mid-market businesses by offering a range of financing capabilities.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Located in the heart of Kent at Center Point Corporate Park, the new lending center will be managed by David Parr, vice president and regional team manager for the bank’s commercial lending activities.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Parr is an experienced and successful banking leader with more than 10 years of experience within the commercial lending department at HomeStreet Bank and 18 years in the industry. With regional expertise in the South Sound marketplace, David and his team offer commercial banking services to businesses spanning a range of industries including manufacturing, wholesaling, construction, transportation, title\/escrow, and real estate services.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Parr will lead a staff of three commercial loan officers and an underwriter, including:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Tom Leander, vice president and relationship manager. Leander is a seasoned commercial lender with more than 25 years of success, supporting a wide range of businesses. His experience includes commercial banking and investment advising with Columbia Bank, Merrill Lynch Business Advisors, and most recently West Coast Bank. He also focuses on addressing the unique banking needs of professional banking clients. Tom holds an MBA from Boston University.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u2022 Doug Thatcher, vice president and relationship manager. Thatcher is a Northwest native and an experienced lender who has provided borrowing solutions for Puget Sound residents and businesses since 1974. A former business owner, he brings a depth of understanding to his commercial relationships. Doug attended Western Washington University and the University of Washington. He is active in the community through local boards, the arts and Rotary.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u2022 Wallace Ho, vice president and relationship manager. Wallace joined HomeStreet Bank in December 2012. He was formerly a senior vice president and commercial loan officer for Timberland Bank. He has more than 24 years of commercial lending experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u2022 Kim Richmond, assistant vice president and underwriter. Kim has been in commercial banking for more than 23 years, most recently as an underwriter for two large national banks in the Seattle and Tacoma areas. She is involved in several community groups in South King County and has a BA in Business from the University of Washington.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This is the second lending center that HomeStreet has opened in Washington in 2013. Another mortgage lending center opened earlier this year at 5400 Carillon Point. Located in the heart of Kirkland near numerous residential neighborhoods and businesses, the new lending center is in close proximity to the high-tech hubs of Bellevue and Redmond.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
