{"id":33456,"date":"2018-03-07T12:25:00","date_gmt":"2018-03-07T20:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/king-county-sheriffs-office-seizes-nearly-10-million-of-illegal-marijuana\/"},"modified":"2018-03-07T12:35:52","modified_gmt":"2018-03-07T20:35:52","slug":"king-county-sheriffs-office-seizes-nearly-10-million-of-illegal-marijuana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/king-county-sheriffs-office-seizes-nearly-10-million-of-illegal-marijuana\/","title":{"rendered":"King County Sheriff&#8217;s Office seizes nearly $10 million of illegal marijuana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>King County Sheriff&rsquo;s Office detectives seized nearly $10 million of illegal marijuana when it served search warrants on 18 residences and two storage units last week in King and Pierce counties.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 7,634 marijuana plants valued at about $7.6 million and 783 pounds of processed marijuana valued at about $2.3 million were recovered, according to a news release Wednesday from the Sheriff&rsquo;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>The searches were done over two days last week at locations in unincorporated King County, Kent, Renton, Auburn, Federal Way, Pacific, Lakewood and Seattle.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives arrested 10 people for investigation of drug related charges. Detectives seized 10 homes, four vehicles, a 32-foot RV and more than $200,000 in cash all related to illegal marijuana grows and sales. 10 adults were booked into King County Jail for drug related charges.<\/p>\n<p>All of the search warrants served in this operation were at illegal grow locations.
